The People of Elathir
Elathir, a land of stark contrasts and shifting powers, is divided into three distinct regions. Dominating the central and northern expanse is the Heartland, a vast and fertile domain that serves as the nation’s core. To the north, within the rugged Darrow Mountains, lies Darrowmere, a secluded and mysterious region steeped in ancient traditions. In the south stands Tyrus, a compact but fiercely militant realm, ever-vigilant and prepared for war. Together, these regions shape the intricate political and cultural tapestry of Elathir.
Heartlanders
The main brunt of the humans of Misthria the Heartlanders live in the centre of the continent, around the capital of Are-asi and its surrounding towns and villages. Known as the Heartland.
The look and feel is that of mediaeval peasants to knights and nobles depending on the background, the era of the clothing and armour can vary depending on the region or town they are from, the capital tends toward a more gothic look where a small village may be much more simple and undecorated.
Darrowfolk
The Darrowfolk come from the isolated region of Darrowmere which its major city is also named, this large city and few surrounding villages are found in the mountains to the north of the capital. Due to the shape of the mountain range it is often referred to as the eye of Elathir, but its true name is simply the Darrow mountains.
Those who live away from the major city of Darrowmere are a hardy folk, having to live in the rough terrain and harsh environment of the snow capped mountains. The style of their clothes is similar to nordic cultures, simple T tunics and trousers, adorned with leather and furs, thick woollen cloaks are a staple.
The Darrowfolk of Darrowmere itself adorn themselves with much finer fabrics, while the cuts of tunics and the such are the same, there is a lot more colour and adornment if you are from the city.
Tyrus
The people of Tyrus on the southside of Elathir are a peaceful but conflict hungry nation. While the continents have been at peace for centuries, Tyrus has kept itself busy with continued friendly battles, the cities forming their own show armies to battle against each other with no reward beyond glory, celebration after battle is what this nation prides itself on and dying on the battlefield is a great honour.
The style of Tyrus is graeco-roman with no real focus on any particular period, again each town or village follows a different period for their style of clothing or armour, but in general togas, chitons and muscle plate are common practice.
