The Bard fills their surrounding allies with essence, healing minor wounds and reinvigorating them, this is most often done with a ritual song or tall tale, after informing the party to rest and listen to their Ballad of Rest.

The bard brings those surrounding them together, forging a strong bond of loyalty for a short time (until the task is complete) those affected feel an overwhelming urge to get the task done and protect and aid those who are also on that task because of this the entire group fights with greater strength and vigour, being harder to injure than they usually would be and for this task they will feel great pride in their actions.

Skald

Skalds are combat bards who inspire through war songs and chants, empowering allies to fight harder.

The Skald can start a chant, often along with banging a drum or making repeated noise with an instrument. This fills their allies with a renewed strength and puts fear into their enemies. This can affect different groups differently from making them falter, stop an advance or have them completely rout, going instead to find reinforcements. If a Skald starts a War Chant then others can join in without paying its cost, the louder the chanting and more instruments involved the more effective it may be.
