Character Creation

Characters will be freeform, with basic rules to follow, any player will be allowed to create their own character, with the option to be given a pre-written character if they wish.

A class system that each has rules and abilities to help the players through the adventure and gives the need to form varied parties much like in classic TTRPG style. Most of the classes will be based on generic TTRPG style archetypes fighter, ranger, cleric, etc.

Combat and Conflict

Larp style combat using medieval/fantasy weapons, players will have access to magic which will be explained further later in the handbook, in simple terms spells that cause damage to an opponent will always be melee, with buffs and rituals to augment other areas of the game.

Death and Resurrection

During large scale reffed encounters once a player is downed or dying there will be the opportunity for healer classes and archetypes to heal them.

If a character dies, certain skills, items or interactions will allow a player to be resurrected once, this attempt has to be done with a ref as a witness, and has four outcomes.

Critical Failure

The character comes back as a violent mindless husk and begins to attack those around them.

Failure

Nothing happens and the magic is wasted.

Success

The character returns to life, but is given a black mark, this character can never be resurrected again.

Critical Success

Not only are they revived, they are revived at full strength without a black mark.

The outcomes are determined by the refs drawing a card and handing it to the player being resurrected, they are then expected to roleplay the outcome.
