The Sacking of Shal-Koreen
To the elves, this is a scar that refuses to fade. The human invasion during Elathir’s early days stands as a testament to the folly of greed and impatience. Though the magical barrier decimated the invaders, the cost to the elves was not negligible. The deaths of several Kor Tidewardens who maintained the barrier during the attack left a void that was deeply felt. The Sacking remains a cautionary tale among the Kor, reinforcing their commitment to isolation and vigilance.
The Binding of the Starwoven Barrier
A defining moment in the history of Ash-Rilar, the creation of the Starwoven Barrier marked the beginning of elven isolation. This immense magical barrier, crafted by Kor archmages, was born from a vision of unity and protection after a long forgotten event. Legends say the ritual required the combined lifeforce of many archmages, whose essences still fuel its power, one to each of the tower. While the barrier has kept Ash-Rilar safe, it has also fostered a sense of separation and mistrust toward the outside world.
The Fall of Aelior, the Lost City
Before the barrier, the grand city of Aelior stood as a beacon of elven magic and culture. Situated on what is now the Heartland of Elathir, Aelior was betrayed by its human allies during a desperate war against encroaching orcish forces. The humans turned on their elven allies, seeking to claim Aelior’s magical relics. Though the city’s defenders unleashed catastrophic magic to protect their people, Aelior was ultimately abandoned. The ruins now lie hidden, and the tale of its fall is a cautionary story passed down among the Kor.
The Shattering of the Luminal Concord (Event of Legend):
Once, the Kor and Bah-Kor maintained an uneasy alliance despite their differences. This pact, known as the Luminal Concord, was shattered centuries ago when a Bah-Kor faction revealed elven secrets to an outside kingdom in exchange for land and freedom. The betrayal prompted the Silver Queen to sever all official ties with the Bah-Kor, solidifying their status as exiles. The event remains a bitter wound, with Kor seeing the Bah-Kor as reckless and untrustworthy, while the Bah-Kor argue they were left with no choice.

The Whispering Rift
A sudden disturbance in the Starwoven Barrier near Vael’Rithil has alarmed the Kor. Strange energies now seep through the weakened section, warping the forest around it and attracting dangerous creatures. Some believe it is a natural degradation of the barrier, while others suspect outside interference. The Silver Queen has dispatched her finest Tidewardens to investigate, but whispers among the Mer claim the disturbance is linked to ancient elven spirits seeking vengeance for past wrongs.
The Gathering of the Moonlit Chorus
For the first time in centuries, the Mer tribes have sent envoys to Shal-Koreen, requesting an audience with the Silver Queen. They bring cryptic warnings of a celestial event that will disrupt the balance of Ash-Rilar’s magic. The Moonlit Chorus, a rare meeting of the Queen and her Council of Elders, has been called to deliberate the matter. The envoys’ arrival has caused unease, as many Kor question the Mer’s motives and the legitimacy of their warnings.
The Relics of Aelior Unearthed
Rumors have reached Ash-Rilar that adventurers from the Adventurers’ Guild have discovered Mythic Items tied to the fallen city of Aelior. These relics, imbued with elven magic, are reportedly being traded in the markets of Elathir. The Kor view this as a violation of their heritage, and some among them are calling for immediate action to recover the artifacts. However, the Silver Queen’s Council debates whether the elves should remain hidden or confront the Guild directly, risking exposure.
